Some domains does not require EPP for transfers. EPP Key ? For security an option to lock/unlock a domain is available. This prevents a domain from unauthorized transfer theft. However this option is not applicable for all domains. Registrar Lock ? Fefers to Domain Privacy Protection. This is a service that hides your domain's WHOIS details and replaces them with generic one. Some domains are not applicable for this service. WHOIS Protect ? Certain domain names, like . can only be renewed via the auto-renew process. Therefore, these domains can only be renewed 30 days before expiration and prior to their renewal(expiration) date. If the renewal date has passed and a domain is not renewed no modifications will be allowed for this domain and this domain will continue to resolve until deleted by the registry. Default Auto-renew ? Based on registry restrictions some domain extensions are not allowed to change / edit the WHOIS details. This may be done only in special cases by the Registry (.UK zone - Nominet, .DE - Denic, .CA - CIRA, .EU - EURid). WHOIS Change
